Geocache Description:

Need to work off that Thanksgiving Pie?  Want to avoid the crowd at the mall?

Opt Outside and hike with us!

We will meet at the Waterfall at  12 p.m.  (from the east side parking lot, the waterfall is about .75 mile in, and you will have to take a spur trail off of the main trail, there is a rock sign pointing the way) for a "pack it in yourself" lunch! Bring your own food and we'll eat lunch here along the trail, just remember if you pack it in, you must pack it out, trash and all. The official event will last from 12 - 12:30 p.m. in the waterfall area.

Pizzaboy2600 and myself will be at the east side parking lot and head down the trail around 11:15 ish if anyone wants to hike in with us as a group. We will also continue counter clockwise on the Lake Alma Trail around the lake after the event.

The total hike around the lake is right around 4 miles. If you just hike in to the waterfall it will be around 1.5 miles roundtrip.

If you want to grab caches on your way in, that is fine, you just might have to head out earlier.

What I'm trying to say is, we can't host this as a caching hike. We can however, host an event on the trail. What you do before or after is up to you. wink wink

Now for my advisories:  There are several creek crossings along the hike, sometimes there are bridges, sometimes the bridges have been washed out. Sometimes the water is high, sometimes it is low.  I would wear appropriate footwear. This is Arkansas, there are rocks in the trail. There is also up and there is down. Hiking stick/pole is pretty handy too.
