Note: The immediate area where this cache is hidden can be quite overgrown between May and Sept.
Chase the Ramanessin Brook by taking the Ramanessin Trail in the Ramanessin section of Holmdel Park. This section was acquired in 2001. You are searching for a regular-size ammo can. During fall through early winter, this area may be zoned for archery deer hunting; take notice of hunting signs and wear orange if possible!
About Holmdel Park
Holmdel Park is one of the flagship parks of the Monmouth County Parks System. Nearly one million visitors enjoy this 565-acre site each year. Holmdel Park features historic Longstreet Farm, the David C. Shaw Arboretum, picnic areas, four tennis courts, two playgrounds, and miles of trails including the Ramanessin Trail that you probably took to get to this cache!
Off-road bicycling is allowed on the trails of the Ramanessin section, but be careful not to ride off the ravine. The southern end of the Ramanessin section connects to Bayonet Farm and the Ramanessin Greenway Nature Trail -- both are Holmdel Township parks with caches.
