A small circuit from Lofthouse up to Middlesmoor using a small section of the Nidderdale way.
Hopefully you will enjoy great views while you follow the route.
Thrope wood which is above the path has the letter H for Hesketh if you look closely and before extensive cutting down of trees the letter R for Ramsden was also visable. The shooting house also has these initials on its tower.
If you are planning to continue on to "Wheres the gate" please follow the Nidderdale Way the cut down through Thrope farm as there is no other right of way across the river here.
