Bukit Kepayang or Victoria Hill as it was known previously is a quartz ridge which is located in Seremban and popular to hikers. The hill is rich in quartz and you can see fragments of quartz on your trek up the hill as well as on the top of the hill. It is a source of silica to make glass. It was targeted for silica mining during the colonial era and attempts to mine them by blasting with dynamite has been unsuccessful. At this place, you can see many quartz vein and broken quartz crystals on the ground.
At this ridge, there are some seats where you can sit down to take a breather or admire the beautiful sunset and the view of Seremban Town and Seremban 2 from the ridge is just amazing. After you have rested, get of your bum and do some geocaching.
If you just want to do this cache instead of the whole trail, you can come direct here from the housing area. There are many seats placed around the lotus lake where the residents of the housing area tried to beautify the area. This is a relaxing spot with beautiful lotus and enjoy catching a glimpse of fish jumping out of water near the lotus flowers.
The Cache
The cache is a small glass bottle located at the foot of a tree and it hidden behind some stones. Please practice stealth when retrieving it. Please bring your own pen to log as there is no pen or pencil inside.
