The cache is located within a park at Sandstone Point, a residential area just over the bridge from Bribie Island, about 52km north of Brisbane. During World Ward II the area was the site of an Allied amphibious training base.
I always find the best caches mean something to the cacher who left - this cache location was the choice of our 8 year old. The park is a favourite with our kids. Locally known as ‘box hill’ – everyone takes cardboard there to sledge down the steep grassy banks at the back of the park. The park affords pleasant views across Morton Bay, the southern end of Bribie Island and Redcliffe. It’s a great place for the kids to run, play, to have a BBQ (2 public BBQs available), to stroll along Pebble Beach (not a pebble in sight!) or while away some time watching the wildlife or water activity.
FTF goes to dickbev - congrats!
