[ita] questa è la terza cache disposta sul tratto ciclabile della Ciclovia dell'acqua (Figazzano- Ulmo), lungo la strada di servizio dell'acquedotto pugliese.
Poco dopo essere entrati nell’area della contrada Portarino trovate sulla destra (per chi proviene dalle cache precedenti) una collina alberata da cui si intravede una cupola arancione totalmente diversa rispetto all’architettura del luogo. E’ il tempio dell’ Ashram Bhole Baba, il primo ashram italiano ed occidentale dedicato al maestro yogi Babaji. Certe sere nella quiete della campagna si possono udire i canti sacri che provengono dal tempio.
La cache si trova appena fuori dal tracciato ciclabile, lungo uno sterrato incolto che costeggia un campo di ulivi. Attenzione ai rovi che possono proliferare nelle stagioni più calde!
Si può giungere alla cache dall’ inizio della ciclabile, dal parcheggio sulla statale Cisternino-Martina o dalla vicina strada in contrada Fantese (parcheggio della masseria Il Cantone). Tutto il percorso può essere attraversato a piedi o in bicicletta, integralmente o in parti, seguendo le indicazioni indicate nei waypoints delle cache di questa serie.
[eng] This is the third cache located on the cycle path of the Ciclovia della dell'acqua (Figazzano-Ulmo), along the service road of the Apulian aqueduct.
Shortly after entering the area of Portarino District you will find on the right (if you’re coming from the previous caches) a tree-lined hill from which you can see an orange dome totally different from the architecture of the place. It is the temple of the Bhole Baba Ashram , the first Italian and western ashram dedicated to the master yogi Babaji . At times the sacred chants that come from the temple can be heard in the quiet of the countryside.
The cache is located just off the cycle path, along a scrub brush path that runs along a field of olive trees. Beware of the thorns that can proliferate in the warmer seasons!
You can reach the cache from the beginning of the cycle path, from the car park on the state road Cisternino-Martina or from the nearby road in the district of Fantese (parking lot of “Il Cantone”). The whole path can be crossed on foot or by bicycle, in whole or in parts, following the directions indicated in the waypoints of the caches of this series.

Babaji è, secondo Paramahansa Yogananda, uno yogi immortale che vive sull'Himalaya. Secondo la tradizione, Babaji è il maestro illuminato che nel 1861 iniziò Lahiri Mahasaya al Kriyā Yoga. Si crede che egli abbia la facoltà di assumere l'aspetto che desidera. Alcuni pensano che si incarni di tanto in tanto, mentre altri credono che sia stabilmente incarnato e ringiovanisca il suo corpo grazie a una pratica yogica conosciuta a pochissimi come "Kaya Kalpa".
[eng] The Bhole Baba Ashram in Cisternino is a spiritual center that arose in 1979 for the wishes and directions of the Mahavatar Babaji, to spread His message of Truth, Simplicity and Love. Babaji is, according to Paramahansa Yogananda, an immortal yogi who lives in the Himalayas. According to tradition, Babaji is the enlightened master who in 1861 began Lahiri Mahasaya at Kriyā Yoga. It is believed that he has the faculty to assume the aspect he desires. Some think he is incarnate from time to time, while others believe that he is permanently incarnated and rejuvenates his body thanks to a yogic practice known to very few as "Kaya Kalpa ".
