Parking is right after you cross the Big Wood River. Locals use Carbonate Mountain for a cardio workout. Follow their lead up the ridge or use the switchbacks for a more gradual climb. Either way you will pass by the graffitied remains of an old water tank. The cache is tucked inside another historical remain from an earlier era...
