Old Stock Dam (Canterbury). Traditional Cache

This cache is placed at one of the many points of interest on the loop walk around Quail Island in Lyttelton Harbour. Access is by water only, so you can take the ferry from Lyttelton (Black Cat Cruises), paddle, row, JetSki, SUP...the choice is yours. Once on the island you will need to walk almost halfway from the jetty to get to where the cache is. From the information board about the Old Stock Dam, you can find the cache on the right hand side of the Dam. Alternatively, if you are walking the island in an anti-clockwise direction, you could turn off the track just before a small wooden bridge and follow a vague trail made by a 4 wheel motorbike. NO DOGS are permitted on the island, geokids are ok! I apologise in advance for the container, it was a spur of the moment idea after some geocaching on the island myself!
