Another year, another New Year’s Eve souvenir, same venue!
I intend having my breakfast at The Bransty Arch, Bransty Row, Whitehaven, CA28 7XE and it would be great for any cachers in the vicinity to join me. The menu is available on the jdwetherspoon website. The official event will be from 09:15 to 10:00 although the crack might last longer. Please come along and share your caching resolutions for the year ahead, talk about this year's adventures, swap trackables or just put faces to those names in logbooks.
I've been asked to give the pub an idea of numbers so please indicate how many people are likely to be eating.
West Cumbria has gained a number of new caches since last year's event e.g. Moacky's three multis in Whitehaven and the Gosforth Gang's series in Nether Wasdale. Alternatively there's the annual New Year's Eve dip in Whitehaven Harbour if anyone feels like cooling off.
Free parking will be available at the following car parks operated by Copeland Council: School House Lane, Senhouse Street, Whitehaven Sports Centre, Copeland Centre, The Ginns, The Beacon Museum and North Shore. Please be advised that this doesn't apply to those operated by Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners. There's another option across the road – PM me regarding this if you’re not local although Google Street View should suffice.
