Moscow Graffiti - Shalamov Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-CJ-: The game is over. I do not have any physical and emotional resources to maintain the cache during this terrible wartime. Neither I can take responsibility to invite anyone to safely search for geocaches here in Russia. I'm sorry. Thank you all dear geocachers who enjoyed the cache. Will hopefully get back to the game some day.

Geocache Description:

[RU]

[EN]

Varlam Shalamov was Russian writer, author of piercing "Kolyma Stories". Was convicted on political grounds three times. Works by Shalamov have been acknowledged as bright and truthful chronicles of repressions during the Soviet period of our history.

The author of this mural is Zoom, a wonderful artist whose works is usually distinguished by high quality and original ideas. Sadly, most of "unapproved" streetart works by Zoom lived short live and were painted over by local powers. I hope that this "approved" mural will not follow their fate.
