Meet and greet on the shores of Salton Sea at 233 feet (71 metres) below sea level, the lowest ever elevation caching event in the USA! Join us on Monday, January 21st 2019 at 12 noon to 12:30pm, low down on the edge of the sea for maximum depth!
We are a couple of cachers from Great Britain who will be on vacation to this part of the underworld. Parking is available at the Salton Sea Visitor Center. There are some basic facilities such as toilets, water and an information desk. The walk to the shore, at the given coordinates, is over uneven ground and loose rocks, ideally, wear sturdy shoes. Bring your Trackables and caching stories to exchange at one of the lowest points on dry earth!
