This cache is in O'Melveney Park in Granada Hills. The cache is about .7 miles from the bridge. The terrain rating would be a 2 except that the last third of the hike is fairly steep and overgrown (2005). We also hid the cache quite well since the trails are fairly well-traveled.
On a clear day, you'll have a great view of the San Fernando Valley from here.
This cache was swapped for a new container and fresh swag in June, 2005. It was upgraded and swapped again in 2007 by some helpful cachers. The coordinates have been updated multiple times as the Party is like a rave: it moves about to remain hidden from those not invited. The cache is now in an ammo box. The Girlz request that you bring party goodies to trade.
The original cache (in a 2 gallon container) contained kid-friendly items like:

Wristbands
Glow-in-the-dark flowers
and lots more
Ouside of Griffith Park, O'Melveny Park is the city's second largest park. Originally known as the "CJ Ranch", it was purchased in 1941 by attorney John O'Melveny of the respected large law firm O'Melveny and Meyers and used to grow citrus and graze cattle. As I understand, it was donated to the city upon his death.
