Geocache Description:

The second cache located on local routes that I run for fitness.  This one is on a 5k route that takes in the River Frome behind Chipping Sodbury and the infamous Banana Bridge, and a 10k route across the lower reaches of Chipping Sodbury Common and back along the Badminton Road. Maps of the two routes are attached to the cache page  This cache is at the top of a great little hill on the route to get the heart pumping and the lungs burning!

If you walk down the hill to the bottom of the park, you can get great views across the Severn Vale, particularly early morning when the sun is in the east, illuminating landmarks to the west.  A pair of binoculars will give you an even better view of the two Severn Bridges, the RAC Control Centre at Almondsbury interchange, and several other landmarks.  And on a very clear day, looking north west, amongst the Welsh hills, it is possible to see Sugar Loaf mountain at Abergavenney about 35 miles distant.

A small cache placed well away from the popular children's play area in the park at the bottom of the slope - please replace the cache out of sight to avoid it being muggled.  A pen is needed. When logging your find, a note to say which landmarks you could see from the bottom of the park would be interesting, and photos are encouraged.

Congratulations to pad891011 on FTF.
