This CITO event is scheduled for Sunday, March 24, 2019, from 1 PM to 5 PM. It is subject to delay in event of bad weather or high water on the river.
This cleanup will start on the banks of Rocky River, at the small undeveloped Harrisburg town park at Old Pharr Mill, near the intersection of Pharr Mill Road and Shamrock Road on the south side of Rocky River. We will gather initially at the putin coordinates to drop boats and coordinate car shuttles.
We will be removing trash and cutting and clearing tree log jams on the river itself, between old Pharr Mill and Rocky River Road.
Maximum water level for this event is about 3-3.5 feet on the nearest gage. At that level, currents are getting a bit strong, and shallower logjams are under water. The event will be delayed if level is above about 3.5 feet.
Preferred level is 1.5-2 feet.
