Welcome to the winter series of the Central Region Parks caches. This is a test run so we will only be placing caches in a few of the parks to see how well they are received.
Clark Reservation State Park is a geologic wonder of the last ice age and a botanist's paradise. The park's natural features include rugged cliffs and rocky outcrops, woodland and meadow, a wetland and a glacial plunge basin lake in which the surface waters and bottom waters do not mix. Fishermen can catch pickerel, bullheads, and sunfish; while birdwatchers may observe cedar waxwings, kingfishers and woodpeckers.
There are 3 caches in the series here. One has a picture with letter/number clues on the back to help you find a final bonus cache. Please stay on the trails here, and do not cut cross lots. Also, be very careful to stay on Big Buck, Mildred Faust, and the Long Trail. Some of the other trails can be extremely slippery during the winter, and snow may even hide fissures in the rocks. Dogs are allowed on the trails, but must be on a leash.
This cache is a camo taped pill container in the trees to the left of the trail as you head away from the parking lot.
