The Old Chapel

The former Bible Christian Siloam Chapel was built in 1858, it is the earliest known Bible Christian Chapel in Victoria. 

This humble little building demonstrates original design qualities from the Victorian Georgian style.  With its steep pitched roof and slate tiles, there is also a stone tablet above the doorway which carries the name and date of the building.  The quionwork on the corners and around the door gives the building an impression of stability and strength. But beyond its architecture, the little chapel was a very important part of the life of the Modewarre community.
