Gibbergunyah Reserve
Gibbergunyah (a name with aboriginal origins) is a reserve for public recreation and for the preservation of native flora and fauna. The Reserve is 186ha (1.5km2) and is nestled between Mittagong, Bowral, and Welby. It may be entered from Howards Lane at the north end, or from Boronia Road at the south end. Motorized vehicles are not permitted in the Reserve.
The bushland ranges from open woodland on the drier edges to tall moist fern-carpeted forest in the deeper gullies. A variety of brightly coloured flowers bloom according to the season and tall banksia are plentiful and may be identified by their spiky, rock-hard seed-pods. Wombats and echidnas are often seen from the walking trails, and possums can be seen at night. The Reserve is also a sanctuary for birds, including Whipbirds, Bell birds, Rosellas and other parrots, as well as Cockatoos.
Please note the 'Galah' circuit is quite steep so be sure to mind your footing if walking on this part of the trails.

At the posted coordinates you will find a sign-post containing three signs arranged above one another. The top-most is brown with white lettering and it contains a five digit number we will call ABCDE. The middle sign is white with black lettering which contains a single digit number we will call F. The lowest sign is white with red lettering; it contains a three digit number we will call GHI. The cache is located at:
