This is a very old cemetery. Take time to go inside and read the placques that tell the story of some of the historical significance of this area.
During the Revoluntionary War the church was used as a temporary hospital during the battle of Monmouth. It was founded in1692 and it played a prominent role in the founding of Presbyterianism in the US.
While traveling around the country we would often pass a cemetery and someone or everyone would say "A cemetery without a cache".
We always enjoyed visiting cemeteries and looking at the various types of monuments, and sometimes learning a little of the local history.
This series will take you to some hidden, and not so hidden cemeteries. None of the caches are hidden on graves or monuments and will range from easy to hard to find.
Out of respect for the departed, and for the living neighbors, only cache during daylight hours. Some of the locations have signs indicating visiting hours.
Enjoy, and take some time to explore and learn a little bit of local history
