Benicia State Recreational Area is a favorite for hikers, cyclists, and bird watchers. Paid parking is available at the entrance to Dillon Point Road in Benicia or free on-street parking on South Regatta Drive by the trailhead in Vallejo. The park is open from 8 AM to sunset.
Initial cache contents include a FTF prize, log, a pine cone core, limpet shell, and olive shell collected along the Sonoma Coast.
Near this cache is a bench that offers splendid views of the Carquinez Strait. Mount Diablo, Benicia, and Martinez can be seen from here. Enjoy the view of the Carquinez from this bench after making your find. Happy hunting!
