Henry Rolland Meet n Greet Event Cache
Oz Mega Committee: One month after the BBQ and it has come time to archive the event with 128 teams logged to date.
The Committee wishes to thank all the cooks, assistants and helpers around the bbq areas on the night .
A special thanks to Linda Roberts from the Heritage Festival and Tim the Yowieman for their warm welcome speeches to Canberra and stories told on the night.
Raffle winners were Phetlern who kindly donated it back and that prize went to Dino and also Team GBS from Zimbabwe, and we congratulate them.
Many thanks to all who attended the night with Lake Burley Griffin as a backdrop and the Committee hoped everyone enjoyed the social gathering.

The second exciting Meet n Greet event over the 9 days based around the Clear Waters event. The event is at the newly opened Henry Rolland park ,which boasts magnificent views of Lake Burley Griffin ,the National Museum and much more.Start time will be at 6 pm at the BBQ and seating shelters and concludes at 8 pm. This is a FREE BBQ event, open to all Geocachers. All the food and drinks will be supplied. Plus plates, sauces, knifes and forks, napkins and much more.
Special guests will include Tim the Yowieman and the ACT Heritage Festival Organiser Linda Roberts. There will be a FREE RAFFLE drawn . On conclusion of the raffle a group photo with the attendees and specials guests will take place at the nearby pier end with the lake backdrop for the Canberra Times.
There are a few caches within walking distance of the location as well. There is plenty of parking in the nearby car park. Parking fees are only up to 6 pm. Please log your " Will Attend " for catering purposes .The Showground campfire will commence at 8 pm.
