Geocache Description:

The Scouts (BSA) "Cache to Eagle" series is a National program to highlight past Eagle Scout projects. This is the seventh cache for the Chester County Council (CCC), celebrating our council's 100th anniversary!

This cache takes you to Marsh Creek State Park, the site of many Eagle Projects over the years.  Today you'll visit a "back entrance" that those using the Struble Trail often continue to.

This Eagle project is by a scout from Troop 220, Horseshoe Trail District of the Chester County Council. It includes the kiosk before you, and trail maintenence in the same area.

Replace the cache exactly as found. If you have difficulty with the cache or container, please contact the CO (Cache Owner), CCCCacheToEagle.

This is one of 13 caches in the Chester County Council Cache to Eagle series, highlighting dozens of Eagle projects and Chester County Council BSA Headquarters. Collect the keywords from all 13 caches and visit Council Headquarters to obtain a patch commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Chester County Council, BSA (while supplies last). Headquarters hours are M-Th 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; F 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Download the Chester County Cache to Eagle Passport here. Use this form to collect the 13 keywords from the 13 CCC Cache to Eagle caches. Take your completed form to the BSA Headquarters to exchange it for the commemorative patch.

This cache is placed in the Marsh Creek State Park with permission of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR). Marsh Creek State Park is in the rolling hills of north central Chester County. The 1,727-acre park contains the 535-acre Marsh Creek Lake, which is a wonderful resource for fishing, sailing, and migrating waterfowl. Please follow park rules. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. Pets are allowed, and must be kept on leash at all times.

Please be aware of the Spotted Lanterfly in the park. If you find them, STOMP them! Be certain not to transport any Spotted Lanterflys out of the park on your gear or your vehicle.

Hunting is permitted in limited areas of Marsh Creek State Park during hunting seasons. Be aware of hunting seasons, and dress appropriately in visible orange gear. For more information on Hunting, visit Hunting at Marsh Creek State Park

Congratulations to Stews Crew for another CCC Cache to Eagle FTF!
