Monterey / Salinas Area Geocachers will meet for a mid day Geocache Event at
Fort Ord National Monument - Creekside Terrace
Due to circumstances irrelative to Geocaching or to Fort Ord... Cleanliness of the area was no longer the highest priority.

We, hereafter known as the Geocachers, will remedy the current state of being.
We will sweep the area removing litter from both Creekside Terrace parking lots and from the access road, Old Reservation Road and Toro Creek creekbed and surrounding area.
Some of us will then hike one of the two trails to the site of that OLD original Geocache... the former Bonus Bench! (GCG75X - now archived)
Tales of that site will be told on that site by GeoGeezers

While, at the time of this Event, Fort Ord National Monument operations were on partial stand-down due to the shutdown we hoped for early resolution and in any event, to have some representation from our friends on the Fort Ord staff including management, scientists, rangers both environmental and law enforcement.
