Penland Island is one of the larger islands in Lake Chatuge and was formed when the TVA built this dam on the Hiwassee River back in the 40s. This adventure will obviously require a boat and a bit of bushwhacking, but will offer some pretty scenic views from the top of this island. You will be looking for a regular size cache.
