Geocache Description:

This virtual cache is the burial marker of anyone who responded to the Lexington Alarm.

In April 19, 1775 the American Revolution began in Lexington, Massachusetts with a Skirmish on the town Green. The first blood of the revolution was spilt in the dispute with Great Britain, when colonists faced British regulars, according to Washington’s diary. Eight Minutemen lost their lives, ten were wounded, and two British soldiers were also wounded.

Following the Patriot confrontation with British troops at Lexington and Concord on Wednesday morning April 19, 1775. "An alarm was immediately spread in every direction, so that on the 27th of April it had reached the principal points as far as Baltimore, and by the 11th of May was posted at Charleston, S.C. Throughout New England, the news was rapidly carried by horse expresses from town to town.

Your mission is to locate a person who responded to the Lexington Alarm. If the tombstone does not clearly mark that they participated, other forms of information will be accepted.
