A cache and dash with ample parking, but be aware of muggles.
The building just on the other side of the road is Eastham Memorial Hall. It was built in in 1922 in memory of those from the village who fought in the Great War. Inside is a memorial board listing all those who fought and died from the village. The land was donated by Major Harold Whitehead of Eastham Grange.
The Hall soon became the centre for village activities, and various clubs and groups held their meetings here. Mr CW remembers the Youth Club and several energetic barn dances being held here in his youth. His parents held their wedding reception here just after WW2.
