3 February 9:30 am
Here we are again, back at Marlborough's fantastic Grovetown Lagoon, a native habitat that we are working to restore. Please come along and lend a hand!
Look for the blue Grovetown Lagoon flag at the at the page coordinates which is most likely where we'll be. If it is not there, try the alternative start waypoint back up the road a bit, we sometimes work from there. There is a short walk to the area we will be working in so please be on time. If you are late there will be no one at the car park and you may miss out!
There are a number of jobs that may be happening, something for everyone. Planting, weeding, track clearing, etc. No need to bring gardening tools, they will supply us anything we may need. Gumboots would be a good idea though, as one area can be boggy. Kids are welcome.
You are welcome to stay just the hour, but if you stay longer, there is a free sausage sizzle at the end - around 11:30-12:00.
