Another Disclaimer: Again, I am drawing from my memories from when I was a kid, and again, as far as I'm concerned, all stated is factual and true, so, again, any historical facts can be researched by you, if you so choose. So, again, on to this Cache.
When I was a kid, I didn't get to play in this park as often as I did the other one, but, I can tell you, this park like the other one has had some changes, what I remember, was, from the parking area on the North side of this park to the north side of the parking area there was a baseball field with wooden bleachers, they sat, starting about where those little cedar trees are at and faced toward where the fence is at for the ball fields which faces back to the South now. Farther to the North was the swimming pool, which is now gone. Back in the park, both of the shelters have been added since I played there, those funny bench type "swings" attached to the poles/bars were there, and that concrete block building which houses the restrooms was there, but, it appears to have been added on to at some point in time.
Now here's the interesting thing, something I don't remember being there, but, was there. over there to the North and a little bit West of those new Veterans Memorials, btw are VERY NICE, is a "sundial" memorial that has been there since 1966, and East and a little bit back South near the sidewalk, not far from the shelter, is another memorial, now this one, may or may not have been there when I lived there, I moved away in 1982 and one of the dates on the memorial is 1980.
