The scrubjay crew is bringing flowers for a spring fling - remember that some flowers will be easy to find and others may require a search.
Scarlet salvia, a perennial native to Florida, attracts hummingbirds and butterflies with its rich red tubular flowers (sometimes pink or white) that appear from spring through fall. This herbaceous plant can grow up to three or four feet tall, and can work in a Florida-friendly landscape anywhere in the state. Scarlet salvia grows in many different conditions, and is fairly drought tolerant.
Placement of this geocache has been approved by Rob Rossmanith, Park Biologist. Please remember, all wheels off the paved road when parking. Do not block any gates or trailheads, and follow the posted speed limits.
