Geocache Description:

GEOCACHE NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES Canadian winters are long and cold... geocachers tend to slow down in both hiding and finding geocaches. My aim this winter is to try and hide more geocaches, as well as find more... we will see how that goes... but I did set a Cacheloutions goal of beating my total number of finds from the previous year... a year where I seemed to do an awful lot of power trails... This cache is winter friendly. Here is another little puzzle. The answer is not found here, but I will tell you a little story about this Long Cold Winters series. I decided to hide a whole bunch of caches... The first one had a slow start, being blocked by another cache... as I write this, it is still not published... we will see if it needs a new location, but for now, it is on hold... While I was working on some of the coldest days of winter yet... -52C with the windchill, I had a bunch of gaps in my schedule. My options were to sit in my car with it running... go to Timmies for some coffee to keep warm... OR drive around and find some locations to hide some winter friendly caches... Well... I love this game so much, and wanted to get myself moving, but also help others get out and about to keep active in this 'lovely' weather that I opted for the last option. I froze my fingers MANY a times placing these caches, much as the first bunch of finders did finding them! The weather was NOT pretty! To give optimal chance for MANY different people to get FTFs, and also not have anyone out in this 'lovely' weather too long, the reviewer was instructed to publish them at least 60 minutes apart. I did not know exactly WHEN these caches were getting released, but it was sure fun when they did. By the end of the work day, the last of the first bunch of publishable caches were live, and I met some cachers at GZ of it. I was asked if there were any more coming out, and I DID NOT LIE by saying that at this time I have no more to come out. The fun part in this was that I still had to get home, and stop and grab some groceries... so along my slightly detoured route I placed a few more. The last of which ended up being Long Cold Winters 9 and with the same type of instructions to publish at least 60 minutes after the others, actually ended up coming out the following morning. I really hope that with all of these caches coming out, that everyone has enjoyed them, had some good laughs along the way, kept as warm as POSSIBLE, but still made the best of the Long Cold Winters that we have been having!

All non-virtual geocaches must contain a logbook. If it must contain a logbook for you to sign, then you must sign said logbook. If your name is not in the logbook then you have not truly found the geocache. Bring something to mark in the logbook if you you would like to count the find.
