Neihu Bridge (內湖橋) connects the district of Neihu (內湖) and Songshan (松山), devided by Keelung River (基隆河). The history of this bridge was somehow interesting and evolving with our living.
In 1935, Neihu Bridge was only for pedestrians built by Japanese. As time went by, it became damaged and dangerous. Thus in 1980, a new concrete bridge was built and named as Kangqian Bridge (港墘橋). However, it didn't last long. In 1992, Kangqian Bridge was torn down because of river cutoff during the Keelung River remediation (基隆河的截彎取直整治計畫).
The Neihu Bridge we see now was built up in 2015, which was just 50 meters away from the original Kangqian Bridge. It serves as a important role for commuting to the Neihu Technology Park (內湖科技園區).
