This cache is located on public land (called Dutch Hollow), just South of Pella, Iowa.
To enter the public area, turn south at:
N 41 22.700
W 92 54.000
The last time I was there, the road was blocked and you will have to park your vehicle at:
N 41 22.513
W 92 54.002
From this point, the cache is an easy 0.31 mile hike.
This cache is a 1.2 qt Rubbermaid clear container with blue trim. It contains a stack of “geocache cards” which indicates proof of finding this cache. There is also a toy kaleidoscope, drum key, 90 mm oral airway, Canadian quarter, wristwatch, ferri-tenna coil, bow sight pin, red golf tee, multi-tool pocketknife, "EMS in Action 1990" dog tag and a childs clip-on tie.
This public land is used for hunting and fishing. I have never fished the large pond that is nearby but I have been told that it is good fishing for bass, bluegill and crappie. You should also note a plethora of deer tracks on the paths. Nearby Pella is a wonderful city to visit with "Tulip Time" in May and the tallest working windmill in the United States.
