Take a walk along the Waimea nature park Stream Trail and discover several caches.
As the name implies, this is cache #3 along the trail. It replaces the old Whimsical Bridge Cache that has now been decommissioned.
Please note: This is a daytime use only park and trail. Users and hikers after dark can disturb the neighboring residents (or their pets).
To get to the park: Look for the sign on Mamalahoa Hwy with the Kamehameha Statue for Ulu La'au - The Waimea Nature Park. It is just past the traffic lights in Waimea heading south towards Kona. Once your inside Ulu La'au, there are places to park your car. There are also a few picnic tables you can use. This is a wonderful little park!
Get on the "stream trail" and head for the cache site. The stream will be on your right and you will be heading downstream. Check your GPS to make sure you headed in the right direction (toward the cache), because the trail goes in the other direction too.
