Stop at Dublin, See St. Pat's Shamrock YOU are looking for a "Dublin" geocache at the NE corner of N Glasscock Road and Sunrise Lane intersection in City of Mission, Hidalgo County, Texas. Dublin started out as Dubh Linn, a settlement established on the south side of the mouth of the Liffy. Prior to that Vikings raided for two centuries, the 8th and 9th. By the 11th Century, Dublin became the most important town in Ireland. Norman rule started there in 1169. In the 16th Century, Queen Elizabeth founded Trinity College. The Book of Kells, with its four Gospels of the New Testament, was created C. 800 AD and is regarded as Ireland's finest national treasure. Its ornamentation and illustrations are remarkable.
