this is the less well know area of billingham beck park.
its very popular with locals and there dogs
there's an extensive network of paths running through the park and extending into the wider countryside. the park is a real haven of wildlife as its mainly left to its own devises. the grasslands are a real delight in the summer, with a diverse range of grasses and wild flowers which attract butterflies such as the meadow brown, common blue and dingy skipper
a word of warning this is a high bramble and area so trousers and good shoes or boots are a must in the summer, and in the winter the ground can be boggy and some areas flood.
tweesers and a pen are needed
