In Memory of Dot (of Geo13) Traditional Cache

     The ENCC is placing geocaches in memory of geocachers we have lost this past year.  This geocache is in memory of Dot of Geo13.

     Dot grew up on a farm near Saxapahaw, North Carolina in Alamance County.  She earned a degree in education from High Point University where she met her husband Paul.  Dot and Paul became Methodist missionaries serving in the former Belgian Congo.  They were forced to flee to Southern Rhodesia when the war for indepence broke out.  Returning to the States, Dot then taught school for 30 years.  Together as a team Geo13 explored all 50 US states, all of the Canadian providences, and every continent except Antarctica logging 42,141 geocaches and completing DeLorme challenges along the way. Geo13 have been a Charter member of geocaching since January 3, 2002.  Dot is remembered by her geocaching friends for her warm, generous, adventurous, and caring spirit.  Her light shines on! (and no, dear geocachers, that is not a hint!)
