Geocache Description:

Cool Crew Cache Series … The Bapman Crew started caching in 2008. Shortly after that my son and I were at the computer and a cache had just published; a block from our house. We made a run for it and found it. Seeing a blank log we were so excited. As I was trying to replace the log my young son got excited telling me people were coming. Turned out it was gsix5666, Ratrack, Paldog0306, Team Rumble and TL4. Maybe 1 or 2 more people, but don't remember. It was New Years Day and this group had put out caches for them each to find and start out their New Year right. Well they invited us to join them for some more local finds. This was a bigger day than I would know at that time. It was the beginning of my caching with friends.

That summer my wife and I were hunting a cache that we were at for 3rd trip to and a truck pulls up and asks if we were Geocaching?. It was Ramblin' Rumble. I think it was later that year I joined a group to cache a state park. This was the first time I remember meeting BWY Gang. Soon a group of us went to the Geo Chili Cook-off in Grad Rapids. My first Road trip in a Geo-group. I'll never forget Pee-Pee and the Gimp, but that's another story in it self. The point is that I was becoming part of a caching group of FRIENDS. Goods friends.

It was winter, I'm sure gsix5666 remembers the exact trip; a group of us were caching and it was very cold out. Well the decision was made to call our group the "Cool Crew" because of the temps. Once again, a simple thing became a big thing in my life. The "Cool Crew". The name has gone on to a point that most local cachers know that when they see that name on a log ... well they know generally who it is. Today's main core of Cool Crew is : gsix5666, Ramblin' Rumble, BWY Gang, Paldog0305 and myself. Though there are some frequent flyers of srstewart, rockdogs and GageClan. I got a lot of miles and caches with this group. Sometime others join in. I've met many cachers over the years, and that is all good.

It's not unusual for the Cool Crew to get together and go on 80 to 100+ finds in a day. I am old. I get tired.  The Cool Crew have a motto.; Buy him a 6 pack and put him in the back .. He'll be alright.     Glenn, Mike, Lynne, Keith, Mark & Mary, Steve, Bob, Tim, All of TL4 and many more. Thank you for taking me in. This series is dedicated to Friends.   The "Cool Crew".

GageClan don't get to town often, but when he does; he's always part of the Crew.
