Geocache Description:

13 April 2019, 10:00 - 16:00

It is 2019 and the time has come for our annual Spring event. We are organizing our CITO on 13th April and would like to invite you to attend an event where you can have fun, help to clean the area and earn a virtual souvenir four your profile by attending Spring CITO event on 2019.

You’ll be able to earn one CITO 2019 Season 1 souvenir by attending or hosting a CITO in March, April, or May 2019. Cache In Trash Out (CITO) event is ongoing environmental initiative supported by worldwide geocaching community.

International Cache In Trash Out events are celebrated where geocachers have an opportunity to participate in coordinated worldwide clean-up efforts.

This year we will be trying to involve more people from different communities, but all the geocachers are welcomed to show an example and continue the job until we are no longer needed.
We are planning to cover a wider area this time as we are looking forward to seeing more local people. We will be doing our two usual spots. Both sides of the Wiltshire Rd footbridge. This time the canopy will be at the end of Woburn street where you can park your car and it is closer to the community we are looking for to involve.

Newington ward Counselor has also expressed an interest to attend the event as well as Neighborhood Coordinator and a member of ’Love your street’ initiative. I really hope that we can work together to tackle fly tipping.

Event date: 13/04/19 , SATURDAY
Event time: 10:00 AM - 16:00 PM.

Woburn road and Wiltshire road is being used daily by families going to and from school, work and nearest bus stop. As one of those affected I would like to ask geocaching community to help to clean up the area. It has always been a problem to keep it clean as it is popular by fly tippers. It is mostly general waste, no water or wet areas so should be no problem for children to take part.

Meet at the parking space at the end of the Woburn street which is located down to Hawthorn avenue HU3, West Hull. Post code: HU3 5LW

Children are welcomed but must be supervised by an adult.

Disabled people are welcome.

Bags, gloves and litter pickers will be provided and all the bags will be collected by Hull City Council.

Please wear suitable clothing, take litter pickers if you have some.

Don't forget TB's if you have for swap / discover.

Cold drinks, snacks will be provided as well.
Furthermore, we are hoping to have a portable toilet for this event. Discussion in progress.
