Located at Rocky Bayou State Park approx 2 miles east of Niceville on Highway 20. Cache is less than 100' off the Sand Pine Nature Trail. It will take you about an hour to hike this trail. Watch for gators, bears, bobcats, beaver, and turtles around Puddin Head Lake on the first half of the trail. Park at N30-29.927 W86-25.590 then cross the foot bridge to the trailhead. $2 dollar entrance fee per vehicle at the Park entrance. Opens at 8 AM and closes at 7:15 pm (4:45pm during winter).
Cache is a one gallon clear container.
If you have never visited Rocky Bayou State Park you should now. Camping sites are available as well as restrooms and showers and even boat ramp. Bring a Picnic Lunch and swim suits and enjoy the beach on the Bayou. Locals and Visitors alike will love this site.
