The "Hatakeyama Shigetada kou shiseki park" was a park built in the hall trace of Prince Shigetada Hatakeyama who was the influential family of the Kamakura Shogunate.
In the park there are Gorintou said to be the grave of Prince Shigetada Hatakeyama and his retainers and a well said to be a well of the first bath of Prince Shigetada.
In addition there is a excellent bronze stature in the park. This stature appers that Prince Shigetada Hatakeyama carried his favorite horse on his shoulder and ran down the steep of Hiyodorigoe cliff in the famous Ichinotani war.
畠山重忠公史跡公園は、鎌倉幕府の有力御家人であった畠山重忠公の館跡を整備して作られた公園です。
園内には、畠山重忠公と家臣のお墓と言われる五輪塔をはじめ、重忠公の産湯の井戸と言われる井戸があります。
また、園内にあるひときわ立派な銅像は、有名な一ノ谷の戦いのひよどり越の際に、愛馬三日月を担いで急峻な崖を駆け降りた重忠公の姿を現したものです。
