Geocache Description:

This was placed with the permission of the RSPB.

Years ago before this place flooded it was an old refuse land fill site. We used to scounge around in places here making dens with plenty of places to hide. The amount of old cars etc down below here made it an amazing place to play. But to see youths in summer now diving and swimming in here is a bit scary considering what lays below the surface. Yes it can be deep water, in places but the toxins that will have been released from the veichles will make it a dangerous place to be swimming in.

These days in summer is is a wildlife oasis being home to many species of birds, ducks etc.

Please be careful if you get close to the edge of the lagoon but you will be able to see the remnants of veichles in the water.

Please BYOP and there is no need to remove the cache from the ground.

Kudos to Snakes 77 for FTF.
