[PL] W północno-zachodniej pierzei rynku Maciejowickiego usytuowany jest budynek dawnego szpitala. Ufundowała go Konstancja z Czartoryskich Zamoyska w 1796 r., a budowę prowadził jej syn Stanisław. Usytuowany jest na osi układu przestrzennego, elewacją frontową do rynku. Reprezentuje styl klasycystyczny. Jest założony na planie wydłużonego prostokąta, szerokofrontowy. Układ wnętrz jest dwutraktowy, podpiwniczony, a bryła zwarta, trójkondygnacyjna. Elewacja frontowa siedmioosiowa z wejściem na osi ujętym dwoma pilastrami po bokach dźwigającymi gładkie belkowanie i wydatny gzyms. Szpital nakryty dachem dwuspadowym z naczółkami i facjatami w obu połaciach. W okolicach szpitala stał niegdyś drewniany kościół, spalony podczas pożaru miasteczka w 1819 r. Ostatnio w budynku działał sklep wielobranżowy, a obecnie jest opuszczony i zaniedbany.
Zwracając się w stronę rynku zobaczymy skwer z zielenią wysoką i pomnikiem poświęconym Tadeuszowi Kościuszce i żołnierzom biorącym udział w insurekcji kościuszkowskiej. Usytuowany jest na planie prostokąta. W centralnej części skweru znajduje się pomnik, który powstał w 1976 r. według projektu Mieczysława Weltera. Poświęcony jest Tadeuszowi Kościuszce i widnieje na nim napis “Tadeuszowi Kościuszce, Naczelnikowi Narodu Polskiego i Jego żołnierzom - w rocznicę bitwy pod Maciejowicami - społeczeństwo Maciejowic”. Wykonany został z metalu. Zdobią go motywy kos i karabinów.
[ENG] In the north-western frontage of the Maciejowice Market Square, the building of the former hospital is located. It was founded by Konstancja Zamoyska from Czartoryski family in 1796, and her son Stanisław build it. It is situated on the axis of the spatial layout, with the front elevation to the market square. It represents a classical style. It is founded on the plan of an elongated rectangle, wide-front. The interior layout is double-bay, with a basement, and a compact, three-story structure. Seven-axis front elevation with entrance on the axis enclosed by two pilasters on the sides carrying a smooth beam and a prominent cornice. The hospital is covered with a gable roof with pediments and dormer windows in both areas. In the vicinity of the hospital once stood a wooden church, burnt during the fire of the town in 1819. Recently, the building was a multi-branch store, and now it is abandoned and neglected.
Turning to the market square, we will see a square with tall greenery and a monument dedicated to Tadeusz Kosciuszko and soldiers taking part in the Kościuszko Insurrection. It is situated on a rectangular plan. In the central part of the square is a monument, which was erected in 1976 according to the design of Mieczysław Welter. It is devoted to Tadeusz Kosciuszko and has the inscription "to Tadeusz Kosciuszko, the Head of the Polish Nation, and to his soldiers - on the anniversary of the battle of Maciejowice - the Maciejowice society". It is made of metal. It is ornamented with motives of scythes and rifles.
