Millennium Park and the Castlegar Sculptor Walk are two of the most interesting highlights of the Castlegar area. The Parks is located along the beautiful sandy shores of the Columbia River.
Castlegar is the "Sculpture Capital of Canada". We bring you both.
The Millennium Walkway is a 1.8 kilometer wide, paved recreation path that follows the Columbia River to where the river meets the Kootenay River. Along the paved pathway is a sandy beach area, lookout points, viewing benches, flower gardens, picnic tables and interpretive signs.
This cache is located just off the Walkway where the "Maple Releaf" sculpture has been permanently set up where visitors can escape from the sun while they take in the views of the Columbia River.
