Geocache Description:

30 March 2019, 08:00 - 09:00

Join Shefetswe as he celebrates  200 parkruns = 1000km 1000 Geocaches

We'll gather at the start of PE Hobie Beach parkrun.
You don't have to run/walk/jog if you don't want to.

plainoldgraham's Virtual cache SHARK ROCK PIER GC789ZV is close by and available for those who haven't done it yet.

Also NaviMate's PE to Perth and back again – International #1 GC45RV4 is also close by. Check it out. It's one of those rare caches that takes a bit of preparation.

Enjoy the gathering of fellow Geocachers while others set off on the 5km circuit. Once everyone is finished and the conversation has been exhausted (That takes a while with the PE Geocachers) there will be enough time to move on to the next event GC840QP at 10:00

There will be muffins & juice available to all attendees.

Bring your Travel Bugs if you have any.

Shefetswe will be completing his 200th parkrun at PE Hobie Beach parkrun around 08:35am (if everything goes to plan)

This equates to having run 1000km, in 5km chunks, every Saturday (with some breaks inbetween due to injury, mainly from incidents occuring on Geocaching outings) over the past 5,5 years.

Shefetswe will have run 200 Parkruns in 21 different locations in South Africa, 166 of these at PE Hobie Beach. His personal best time is 29:30.

This is a personal achievement and is not officially recognized by parkrun South Africa. The official milestone is 250 Parkruns, but under the circumstances, this is a huge milestone for Shefetswe.

This equates to having run 1000km, in 5km chunks, every Saturday (with some breaks inbetween due to injury, mainly from incidents occuring on Geocaching outings) over the past 5,5 years.

Shefetswe will have reached the Geocaching milestone of 1000 geocaches found during the "Returning to inniKloof" GC8141Y weekend and this will be a perfect time to celebrate that milestone.
