The Circles
a Geometry for Cachers Cache
DO NOT go to the posted coordinates for any of the listed points. They are only for reference in figuring out the puzzle.
Coordinates and locations and other things used in caching are all about geometry in the real world. This series of caches tests your geometry skills. If you "pass" the test… then you will find the caches.
Your third test is to find the cache… which is on the perimeter of three different circles. The three sets of coordinates associated with this cache define the centers of the three circles. The radius of each circle is listed below.
- Circle 1:
- Center: N 38° 31.862 W 090° 53.386
- Radius: 11,476 feet
- Circle 2:
- Center: N 38° 34.226 W 090° 53.111
- Radius: 19,327 feet
- Circle 3:
- Center: N 38° 32.508 W 090° 58.647
- Radius: 14,125 feet
Although you are able to go to any of the three center points… there is no need to do so. Find the one location that is on the perimeter of all three of the circles and you will find the cache. Good luck!
