Situated on the banks of the River Derwent in a parcel of land to rest and reflect in with views of Skiddaw the location of this cache will do much more than just be found. Squirrel’s Nest in Squirrel’s Rest is a purposely carved set of tunnels in a large bush for any explorer to become Indiana Jones for the day, especially if they also get a go on the rope swing - perhaps then enjoying a coffee on the near by benches. Any Geocachers will have to burrow down to find this one. Squirrel’s Rest itself was bought in memory of Grandad Cyril (aka Squirrel) who passed away in January 2018. He was a keen gardner and admired the Lakes, although only visited once and that was to rescue his son from a flood during a camping trip!
