Geocache Description:

Owner/operators here gave permission and know all about the cache. They do request DAYLIGHT CACHING ONLY. Please keep your vehicle on the driveway and the turn-around/parking BEHIND the building. (Note: since this is a residential area, we are letting you know that it's the business with the little barn under the sign, so you can cache with confidence that you have the correct driveway).

This building was built in 1948 by the Little family. Mr. Little also built several of the surrounding homes, and family members owned them for many years. The current owners say that they have met five different people who lived here in this particular one over the years. One of the Little extended family is still one of the neighbors.

John Glenn Highway is part of the National Road, the great highway westward from the original thirteen colonies at the beginning of the Nineteenth Century until Interstate 70 diverted most of the traffic in the mid- Twentieth Century. It is named John Glenn Highway because US Senator and pioneering astronaut John H. Glenn was born in Cambridge, the city to the east, and grew up in New Concord, the village to the west.
