This cache is the first of a series of thirty-two caches hidden in the southern side of Kings Wood. All are placed in accordance with the formal Landowner agreement between Geocaching and the Forestry Commission. As part of that agreement all caches has been placed either on the path, or not more than a step or two off of the paths. Please follow the paths from cache to cache and do not go marching through the trees
You can’t mistake where the paths go – all are at least two yards wide at the narrowest point
NO CACHES ARE AT THE POSTED CO-ORDINATES. DO NOT GO THERE
Each cache (except the Wherigo) is at a given distance and bearing from the posted co-ordinates
Each cache description (except the Wherigo) tells you that distance and bearing
Typing the phrase “Geocaching coordinate projection” into any Internet search engine will give you a web page from which you can work out the cache locations
Most of the caches are 50ml pots but there are larger caches at 2, C, H, J and Y
And so for this cache…
You will find this cache 1404.4 metres from the posted co-ordinates on a bearing of 221.3 degrees
Please do not remove the stamp from this cache – it is not a trade item
The landowner (Forestry Commission East England) does not assess the suitability or safety of the cache location. The cache placer and the cache finder have a responsibility to take reasonable precautions to protect their own safety and the safety of others. Hazards observed at or on route to the cache location should be reported to the cache owner. The Cache has been placed in accordance with the Forestry Commission East England agreement
