As I headed up the trail with 11bnbjna11, chaosmanor, and Webfoot, we noted the sparseness of caches along this stretch of the PCT. We found a good spot for a quick snack break, and we also identified a place to put a cache. Our GPSrs agreed on the coordinates; it is on the west/uphill side of the trail, regardless of where the webpage or app shows it. You don’t need to step off the trail. The cache is a camo pill bottle, not hanging.
Parking is available at the Indian Canyon Trailhead lot on Soledad Canyon Road. You’ll need an adventure pass or other applicable Forest Service or National Park Service pass to park. There is a pit toilet at this parking lot.
