Geocache Description:

These are the remains of a church that was deconstructed in 2016. A brief history, and photos of the original church can be found here https://www.worcesteranddudleyhistoricchurches.org.uk/index.php?page=cradley-heath

This church holds particular memories for me as it covers the parish area I live in and where my wife and I declared our BAN's of marriage, one of the last couples to do so before it's final service on 19th October 2014. Many thanks go to this parish that have allowed this cache to be in place. Cache placed with the kind permission of St Luke's and St John's Parish of Dudley Wood and Cradley Heath

For this multi cache you will need to note several key numbers on different gravestones and memorials dotted around the site. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO LEAVE THE DESIGNATED PATH TO FIND THESE NUMBERS so please have respect for the area and don't feel you need to trapple over any gravesites in order to find your answers.

Follow the path Right, going anti-clockwise around the church looking out for;

MARY JANE SHAW. who died 13th January 194A aged 76 years,

and

WILLIAM HORTON, late of Cradley Heath, who departed this life, May 2Bth 1871.

After you have found these the path splits in two. Take the Left turning heading slightly uphill. You are now looking for;

BENJAMIN PRIEST of Old Hill, born June 21, 18C7 fell asleep June 11, 1900.

A bit further up the path the path again splits in two. Bear right and look for;

IN LOVING MEMORY OF WILLIAM BANNISTER, born November 23rd 1849 died December 14th 1925. Also of Mary his beloved wife who entered into rest March 11th 1929 aged D7 years.

and

SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF ELIZABETH the dearly loved wife of EDWIN BAYNHAM who died 10th January EEEE

The path then rejoins others. Go straight on taking the path that goes through the gravestones returning you to your start point and the front of the church. There you will need to find the memorial plaque dedicated to the church itself.

Site of the Church of ST LUKE REDDAL HILL 18FF - 2016.

The co-ordinates for the cache are;

N 052 28.ABC  W 002 04.DXX

To get the numbers for XX you need to Divide EEEE by FF

This cache is a container full of swaps and a FTF Badge. Please return carefully and replace items hiding the cache as found. Thank you and good hunting!
