Located along the public footpath leading away from the Saint Osyth Dear Park towards Riddles Wood. The ideal place to park for this walk is the layby on the B1027 Colchester Road. Continuing along the public footpath which takes us alongside farm fields to the left and now to the right is Riddles Wood.
Riddles Wood is private land and hence should not be entered, but is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The trees are ancient pedunculate oak and hazel in some areas and oak and hornbeam in others, as well as chestnut coppice. It is also home to a rare flower called Orpine. This flower has many alternative name also: Livelong, Frog's-stomach, Harping Johnny, Life-everlasting, Live-forever, Midsummer-men, Orphan John, and Witch's Moneybags.
This cache can be found without straying from the footpath - you are looking for a traditional size container with various swappable goodies inside - have fun!
